A-Player, B-Player, C-Player – is this HR Model Correct???

One common model in Human Resources departments nowadays is the A-player, B-player, C-player model – where employees are judged in absolute terms, with little consideration for the circumstances surrounding their performance. But according to Wharton’s Peter Cappelli, that model only holds true about 27% of the time. The best gauge of employee performance is how they get along with their manager. A performance appraisal cannot accurately predict the capabilities of an employee.
